Science City VR Theatre — Motion Based VR Experience
Design and deployment of an advanced VR motion theater featuring synchronized VR experiences and motion seating at Science City, Patna.
The VR Motion Theater at Science City, Patna, developed for the National Council of Science Museums, was designed to deliver a highly immersive virtual reality experience for public audiences within a science centre environment.
The installation spans approximately 5,000 sq ft and features a purpose-built VR theater equipped with synchronized motion seating and untethered virtual reality systems designed for high-throughput visitor engagement.
The entire system including concept design, system engineering, fabrication, content development and installation was executed by the DB Productions in-house team.

VR Theater Systems and Installation Elements
The VR Motion Theater integrates motion simulation technology with immersive VR storytelling to create a shared group experience environment within the science centre.
The theater features 25 motion-enabled VR seats combined with untethered VR headsets, enabling visitors to experience synchronized motion effects aligned with immersive virtual environments.
The system architecture integrates motion control systems, VR playback infrastructure and synchronized media environments designed for reliable operation in a high-footfall public venue.
The project also included design, fabrication and installation of the VR theater infrastructure, along with the development of four immersive VR films specifically produced to synchronize with the motion seat dynamics.
The final installation delivers a scalable immersive attraction capable of hosting multiple visitors simultaneously while ensuring safe and reliable operation within a science centre environment.
